Currently, domestic flights from major cities operate only to Tashkent. For example, there are no direct flights from Termez to Fergana or from Samarkand to Nukus, which forces passengers to travel through the capital.
In the near future, plans are underway to establish direct air connections between Karakalpakstan and other regions, which will simplify travel within the country and provide a significant boost to domestic tourism development.
Overall, the strategy aims to increase the number of foreign tourists to 20 million annually.
