/“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Tashkent hosted a regular meeting of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
At the meeting, the participants discussed the issue of participation of UzLiDeP in the forthcoming snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 9 this year and the nomination of a candidate from the party at the next Congress. Considering the wishes and interests of the party’s electorate, a decision was made at the meeting on the participation of UzLiDeP, as a leading political force, with a worthy candidacy in the snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that in recent years, under the leadership of the Head of state, large-scale reforms have been carried out in all areas. In particular, significant work has been carried out to liberalize entrepreneurial activity further, considering modern market relations requirements. A moratorium on inspections of the activities of entrepreneurs has been introduced, the licensing procedures have been simplified, and state intervention in the economy has been limited through the privatization of enterprises and support for competition. In addition, the development of a new quality and scale of the media and freedom of speech has been achieved, as well as the transformation into the main principle of an open and transparent operation of the state system.
The members of the Political Council of the party noted the creation of a favorable investment and business environment, which ensured an increase in the number of entrepreneurs to almost 2 million, the provision of 200 thousand hectares of land to farms to expand the class of entrepreneurs, as a result of which more than 700 thousand citizens got the opportunity to engage in entrepreneurial activities, as well as state support for women’s and youth entrepreneurship, development of family entrepreneurship.
At the meeting, attention was also paid to the achievements in the areas of supporting older people, youth, and women, reducing poverty, further developing industry, ensuring the socio-economic growth of territories, developing culture and art, ensuring human interests and creating conditions for a decent life for people.
It was emphasized that the positive results achieved in the country are highly appreciated not only in Uzbekistan, but also by the international community.
It was noted that all achievements, of course, are the result of reforms carried out under the leadership of Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev.
It was emphasized that the country’s future, the current accelerated time, requires UzLiDeP to nominate a candidate for the upcoming Presidential Elections who can ensure a confident and decisive continuation of the initiated reforms and solve the problem of reforming society at a qualitatively new stage.
Members of the Political Council of UzLiDeP unanimously supported the proposal to submit for discussion at the Party Congress the issue of nominating Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev for the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a leader who can continue the noble cause begun, worthily lead the people to achieve new frontiers and dedicate his whole life and work prosperity of the motherland.
The participants also discussed the issues of the representative quota from the regional Councils at the Party Congress and organizational issues related to its holding. Tasks were defined for the timely submission by the Political Council of UzLiDeP to the Central Election Commission of documents on the participation of the party in the elections in the manner prescribed by the electoral legislation, holding conferences of regional, district, and city councils of UzLiDeP on the election of delegates to the Party Congress and other necessary measures.
