/IA "Dunyo"/. Today, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who arrived in our country to participate in the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, reports a correspondent of "Dunyo" information agency.

According to the press service of the head of our state, issues of further expanding Uzbek-Turkish multifaceted cooperation and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership were considered.

 

The ongoing intensive mutual contacts and exchanges were noted with satisfaction. The volume of trade turnover, the frequency of direct flights, and tourist flows are growing.

 

Large investment projects are being implemented in our country with the participation of leading Turkish companies. Since the beginning of the year, more than 0 million in direct capital investments have been attracted, and over 200 new enterprises have been created.

 

The importance of accelerating joint projects and programs in the fields of trade, industry, innovation, energy, transport, education, culture, tourism and others was emphasized.

 

The schedule of upcoming events was reviewed, including preparations for the next meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Strategic Cooperation Council.

 

The heads of state also exchanged views on current issues on the regional agenda.
