The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 23-24 at the invitation of President Ilhom Aliyev, reports the correspondent of "Dunyo" IA.
According to the press service of the head of state, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit this country on November 23-24 on a working visit.
The head of our state will take part in the first summit of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in Baku.
The agenda of the event included issues of further expansion of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Program, the creation of a Trust Fund to support regional projects, the adoption of a road map for the digitalization of transport corridors, the promotion of business initiatives and other issues.
It should be noted that the SPECA Program was established on March 26, 1998 in accordance with the Tashkent Declaration in order to promote the development of economic cooperation and integration of the countries of the region into the world economy. The participating states are Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
These days, a number of SPECA business events are being held in Baku, including an economic forum and an exhibition of the industrial potential of Central Asian countries.
