At the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, from November 30 to December 2, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the city of Dubai to participate in the UN Conference on Climate Change, reports a correspondent of "Dunyo" information agency.
According to the press service of the head of state, heads of state and government from more than 150 countries, heads of authoritative international organizations and financial institutions will take part in the global climate summit.
The agenda of the event includes issues of implementing the main provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, countering modern environmental challenges and threats, and broad international cooperation to promote the goals and objectives of "green" development.
It is envisaged that the head of our state will make a report at the plenary session of the summit, and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings and negotiations.
It should be noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan joined the UN Framework Convention in 1993. In 2018, our country became a party to the Paris Agreement.
