The President of Uzbekistan discusses priority areas of cooperation with the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission

TASHKENT, July 13. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Priority areas of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, primarily in trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, innovation, migration and tourism, were considered.

The Head of the state emphasized the well-established systematic interaction of Uzbekistan with the structures of the Organization as an observer state.

A Memorandum and a Joint Action Plan until 2023 are being implemented. A List of additional areas of cooperation was signed today.

The positive dynamics of the growth of mutual trade and investment indicators with the EAEU countries were noted with satisfaction.

The main attention was paid to the issues of further elimination of trade barriers, strengthening industrial cooperation and stimulating business contacts, development of project cooperation, promotion of transit projects and programs, simplification of migration procedures and expansion of tourist exchange.

An agreement was reached to hold a regular meeting of the Joint Working Group.
