In the early hours of this day, Sardoba Reservoir in Syrdarya region suffered a dam breakthrough. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and other agencies have been carrying out essential works, including the evacuation of residents of nearby villages.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Sardoba district to have a first-hand view of the circumstances and identify measures.
The situation is under full control, there is no reason for panic.
