The Bukhara international airport once again became a laureate of the prestigious award of the Airport Association in the nomination “The best airport of the year in the CIS” based on the results for 2017.
The Bukhara airport annually takes part in this prestigious competition and this is not the first award of the Association which it has secured. Since 2012, Bukhara air harbor has become “the best airport in the CIS” four times; three times it was “the dynamically developing airport” and twice – “the prospectively developing”.
The air harbor was recognized as “The best airport of the year in the CIS” for the fifth time among airports with a capacity of 100 to 500 thousand passengers. The special cup and the certificate of honor of the Association embodied a worthy appreciation of the work of the airport staff in 2017.
The focus of constant attention here is safety issues. According to the results of activity for the past year, 190 thousand passengers were serviced at the airport by international and inland destinations. In comparison with the previous year, the volumes of transportation of goods, mail, paid baggage have increased, and the quality of passenger service has improved. Such positive results were achieved thanks to the well-coordinated work of all airport services.
