Tashkent hosts International Conference on Central and South Asia Connectivity

TASHKENT, August 18. /“Dunyo” IA/. The International Institute for Central Asia in Tashkent hosts an international scientific and practical conference on the connectivity of Central and South Asia, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent Muzaffar Kamilov.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodik Safoyev addressed the event.

It was noted that the Tashkent Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” has become a platform for the development of mutually beneficial strategic projects in trade, economics, transport, communication, culture and humanitarian cooperation.

The conference is being attended by members of the Senate and deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of foreign affairs agencies, parliaments, leading scientists and experts from Central and South Asia, as well as several other states.

The event was organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia and the International Institute for Central Asia.
