Uzbekistan, Malaysia develop anti-corruption cooperation

Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an online meeting with Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmonov, Director of Anti-Corruption Agency Akmal Burkhonov, Chief Commissioner of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Datuk Seri Azam Baki and other responsible officials.
 
Participants were informed about ongoing reforms in preventing and combating corruption in Uzbekistan, the Agency's activities, and future plans.
 
Issues related to development of anti-corruption system of the two countries, interagency cooperation, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding were discussed.
 
The Malaysian colleagues expressed their satisfaction with establishment of Anti-Corruption Agency in Uzbekistan, their readiness for mutual cooperation in establishing its activities, providing expert and advisory support.
 
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to exchange experience and implement relevant projects to improve personnel skills.
