Representatives of the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva and the State Customs Committee of the country held virtual talks with the staff of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
At the event, issues related to the customs modernization of Uzbekistan and introduction of a new version of the UNCTAD system ASYCUDAWorld in the State Customs Committee of the country were discussed.
Dmitry Godunov, ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator, welcomed Uzbekistan’s efforts to further modernize the customs system and create favorable conditions for business and investment in the country.
According to UNCTAD representatives, the introduction of this system in the country will save business entities time and operating costs, especially for commercial companies and enterprises engaged in the import, export and transit of goods. A willingness was expressed to provide all possible assistance in the implementation of ASYCUDAWorld in Uzbekistan.
