There are more than forty enterprises of textile industry, growing and exporting agricultural products, engaged in carpet weaving and other activities in Fergana region, established in cooperation with Turkish investors.
Special attention is paid to further strengthening friendship and partnership. An example of this is the signing of an investment agreement worth .5 million and an export contract for 0.1 million following the working visit of Fergana region delegation to Turkey.
Hokim of Fergana region Shukhrat Ganiyev has held talks with the Head of the Representative Office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Cemalettin Tüney. The parties recognized the initiatives being implemented in this direction.
The planned projects in healthcare, agriculture, development of small and medium-sized business, improvement of activities of education institutions based on modern criteria were discussed. Prospects for further cooperation in tourism, light industry and animal husbandry have been studied.
