The Center of People's Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan jointly with the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers held an online dialogue on “The role of compatriots in development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia”.
The event was attended by representatives of the Interregional Public Organization World Congress of the Uzbek Associations in Khabarovsk, public organization of Uzbeks and natives of Uzbekistan “Adolat” in Vladivostok, Commonwealth of Uzbeks Public Organization in Omsk, as well as a number of other public structures of Uzbek Diaspora operating in Russia and compatriots.
Maintaining strong relationship with compatriots, establishing effective mutual cooperation, attracting their potential for the benefit of development of the homeland and ensuring high efficiency of the ongoing reforms were discussed at the meeting.
Views were exchanged on the broad promotion of Uzbek culture, scientific and spiritual heritage in the regions where a large number of compatriots and labor migrants live, and support for the activities of organizations of Uzbek Diaspora to preserve and develop Uzbek language and traditions.
Proposals and recommendations were prepared on the discussed issues and submitted to relevant organizations.
