On September 11, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev discussed the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, in Moscow.
The parties exchanged views on the progress of implementation of the Action Plan for Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the CIS in 2020.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of preparation of the main event of the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the CIS – the Summit of Heads of State on October 16.
It was noted that the agenda of this event includes important issues aimed at further increasing the efficiency of the CIS.
