Technology parks in Uzbekistan and Malaysia consider joint projects implementation

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov discussed priority areas of cooperation with the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia, Khairy Jamaluddin.

The Minister expressed interest in conducting joint research projects in medicine, pharmaceuticals, nano- and biotechnologies and other areas of mutual interest, as well as supporting promising startups.
 
Following the talks, the parties agreed to establish cooperation between the National Nanotechnology Centre, the National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia and the Malaysian Science and Technology Information Centre with relevant ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan to exchange experience and conduct joint research work.
 
The two countries will also consider the possibility of establishing cooperation between the Technology Park Malaysia and the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre with technology parks and innovation centers of Uzbekistan.
 
It is envisaged to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia in forensic medical examination.
