TASHKENT, January 20. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Cardiology of Uzbekistan signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with University Hospital Zurich (Switzerland), reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the signing ceremony took place as part of a virtual meeting between the Director of the Center Khurshid Fozilov and the Director of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the University Hospital Zurich, Professor Paul Robert Vogt.
The parties outlined prospects for establishing cooperation in training young specialists, organizing joint research, short-term and long-term internships of Uzbekistan specialists at the University Hospital Zurich in cardiology, X-ray endovascular surgery, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology.
The signed document envisages provision of assistance to the university hospital in improving the quality and types of high-tech medical care to the population of Uzbekistan, holding events to improve the skills of domestic specialists, including the organization of lectures, presentations, and masterclasses, as well as short and long-term internships for Uzbekistan doctors in Zurich. The University Hospital Zurich will support not only the Republican Center of Cardiology itself but all its branches and divisions in the regions. Besides, it was decided to interact between the two centers in telemedicine.
It is planned to jointly conduct such high-tech procedures as Transcatheter aortic valve replacement, stent-graft implantation, and others at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Cardiology of Uzbekistan.
