Awarding ceremony of “Ozone – for life” online contest winners on the occasion of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, has taken place.
Participants tested their capabilities in “Best video”, “Best article” and “Best poem” nominations of the contest, held within the framework of the joint project of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environment Protection, UNDP and Global Environment Facility.
The main goal of the competition, organized by the Ministry for Supporting Mahalla and Family together with Uzbekistan Women Inventors Center, is to increase young people’s knowledge and awareness in this field.
Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environment Protection Shavkat Abdurazzakov, First Deputy Minister for Supporting Mahalla and Family Gulnora Marufova, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska and others noted that measures taken in Uzbekistan on protecting ozone layer contribute to preservation of nature and human health.
Following the results, Zulfiya Muminova, a student of secondary school No. 55 of Andijan Sanobarkhon Akramova and a freelance creative worker Rustam Jabbarov took the first places.
