In order to effectively implement the state policy on the comprehensive strengthening of the institution of the family, a vertical system has been created, which extends to the lowest level of «yard rounds».
In 2016-2020, the strengthening of the institution of the family in Uzbekistan was carried out in the following areas:
• the institutional and legal basis for strengthening the institution of the family has been improved, and social partnership has been strengthened.
• carried out fundamental, applied and innovative research to strengthen and develop a modern family.
• adopted state programs aimed at improving the demographic situation of the family and increasing the level of well-being of families
• special attention is paid to the principles of socialization in family education, new systems have been created to improve the spiritual and moral environment in the family
• an effective system of effective methodological, advisory and practical assistance to families has been introduced

The system of preparing young people for family life has been improved. The marriageable age for men and women is set at 18 years.
Centers for preparing young people for family life have been established under the district (city) departments for supporting the mahalla and the family.
In the Centers for Preparing Youth for Family Life, newlyweds undergo free training in the following areas:
family legal relations;
• psychology of family life;
• fundamentals of reproductive health;
• economy and family budget;
• positive parenting skills;
• spiritual and moral values.
In makhallas, a commission has been created to strengthen family values.
In 2020, within the framework of the national movement «Kindness and Support», more than 1 trillion soums were provided. sums to 800 thousand low-income families.
The program «Every family is an entrepreneur» has been implemented. In 2020 alone, more than 6 trillion soums of loans were allocated to about 215 thousand families for the development of family entrepreneurship.
