It should be noted that, in accordance with the Presidential Decree “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy”, a project is being implemented to purchase 200 electric buses and related equipment. The initiative aims to introduce green projects in the areas of climate change adaptation, achieving carbon neutrality, and developing public transport in the city of Tashkent.
The winner of the tender became the Chinese company Yutong Bus. The project is being carried out with the financial support of the Export-Import Bank of China and the Uzbekistan Industrial and Construction Bank – SQB
