Children’s National Medical Center opens in Tashkent

Children's National Medical Center built on the basis of the latest achievements of medicine and science has been commissioned in Tashkent.

The medical center, with a project cost of more than 0 million, was built with participation of Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Republic of Korea. 
 
The opening ceremony was attended by medical workers, guests from Korea and the public.
 
The high-tech center has departments of cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics and plastic surgery, general surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatrics, hemodialysis and intensive care.
 
The four-storey medical building is designed for 280 beds, and the polyclinic of the center can receive up to 250 patients a day. The center is equipped with magnetic resonance imaging, multispiral computed tomography, a modern laboratory and diagnostic equipment that allows to detect cancer for several years in advance. The medical facility is able to perform more than 1,500 complex and unique operations per year.
 
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Behzod Musayev, Minister of Health Alisher Shodmonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Kang Jae Kwon.
