TASHKENT, September 25, /“Dunyo” IA/. The Ministry of Justice has released a number changes to the legislation that will enter into force starting from October 1, 2019, “Dunyo” IA reports with references to the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
1. Notarial authentication certificate among family members will be canceled.
The use of vehicle among close relatives, including parents, spouses, children, brothers and sisters of the vehicle whose owner specified in the insurance policy and the mandatory notarization of a power of attorney is canceled.
2. Microloans are provided to migrant workers.
Labor migrants will be given microloans for one year. The list of required documents is the following: passport, application and petition by the labor authority. Microloan in the amount of million will be given within one banking day to pay the costs on working abroad. In 2019-2020 with 10% rate; 2021 – 12%.
In addition, insurance companies will introduce a one–time 50,000 soums subsidy per each insured migrant.
3. An updated procedure for the reinsurer.
The reinsure must submit an offer to insurance companies under reinsurance contact (at least 50 % of the total amount of insurance liabilities) for reimbursement before transfer of insurance organization.
4. Excise tax on alcohol and tobacco will be increased.
Excise tax on alcohol will be increased on average by 10%; on tobacco - by 20%.
