Shavkat Mirziyoyev
Shavkat Mirziyoyev currently serves as the President of Uzbekistan. Since he took office in 2016, he has introduced significant reforms across the political, economic, and social sectors. Noteworthy accomplishments include economic liberalization, improved transparency in public administration, and the strengthening of rule of law. He remains committed to the implementation of the New Uzbekistan 2022-2026 strategy, aspiring to shape a more liberal and progressive Uzbekistan.
On June 6, as part of the official visit to the city of Ankara, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the activity of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc.
The Head of our State was acquainted with samples of manufactured products, production process, and results of scientific cooperation of the company with foreign countries.
Founded in 1984, the company is the leading Turkish technology center in the field of design, development, modernization, production and integration of aerospace systems from fixed-wing and helicopter-wing air platforms to unmanned aerial vehicles and satellites.
In 2023, "Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc." was included in the list of the world’s 100 largest defense companies. Annual income is about US newscat="shavkat_mirziyoyev",5 billion.
The company employs more than 15 thousand people, including about 7 thousand engineers, more than 6,5 thousand technicians and other employees.
During the visit, the President of Uzbekistan was also presented the activities of a number of other enterprises of the Turkish defense industry, specializing in the development and production of a wide range of weapons and military equipment.
Aviation demonstration flights took place.
