Uzbekistan and Tajikistan leaders discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda

 /«Dunyo» IA/. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in Dushanbe, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, current issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were discussed.

Primary attention was paid to the practical aspects of implementing agreements at the highest level, primarily the promotion of cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy and the expansion of the cultural and humanitarian exchange program.

In this regard, the productive activities of the joint Intergovernmental Commission were noted with satisfaction.

At the meeting, the heads of state exchanged views on issues included in the agenda of the next Consultative Meeting of Leaders of Central Asian Countries and the Summit of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

Other aspects of regional interaction were also considered.
