Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Shavkat Mirziyoyev currently serves as the President of Uzbekistan. Since he took office in 2016, he has introduced significant reforms across the political, economic, and social sectors. Noteworthy accomplishments include economic liberalization, improved transparency in public administration, and the strengthening of rule of law. He remains committed to the implementation of the New Uzbekistan 2022-2026 strategy, aspiring to shape a more liberal and progressive Uzbekistan.
In Uzbekistan, the principles of a social state and social justice are priorities. Based on these values, “Inson” centers are being opened across the country, bringing social services closer to the population.
The center offers over 100 types of social services to 12 categories of individuals in need. Modern conditions have been created for this purpose. All processes – including the reception of applications, needs assessment, appointment, and delivery of services – are organized in a convenient and accessible manner.
Importantly, assistance is not limited to one-time support. The condition of service recipients is continuously monitored, with follow-up provided until full recovery is achieved. All processes are digitized and integrated with other relevant institutions.
Twenty-five specialists are working at the Shaykhantakhur Center, along with 51 social workers assigned to local mahallas. Targeted assistance is provided to children and adults with disabilities, as well as to elderly individuals living alone.
“This is a place where people care about every individual, where the goal is to ensure that people are satisfied and content. Through such a system, social justice and human dignity are affirmed in our society”, the President noted.
Also located here, based on a public-private partnership, is the institution “Imkoniyatlar Olami”, which the Head of State visited to become familiar with its conditions.
The institution provides early intervention services for children under the age of three, social adaptation and rehabilitation for children with disabilities, as well as daytime care and supervision. Currently, around 80 individuals receive support here, under the care of 12 qualified staff members.
