STARTUP INITIATIVES 2018: NEW IDEAS OF YOUTH

At the final stage of the Youth Startup Initiatives Assistance Program at the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, 16 teams presented their projects.

The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Uzbekistan Youth Union, the United Nations Development Programme and other organizations with the financial assistance of the British Embassy in Uzbekistan, is aimed at comprehensive assistance in enhancing the creative activity of youth.

510 teams submitted applications for participation in the program, 92 teams were selected on projects presented by them. At the final stage, projects in the spheres of education and trade, based on virtual reality technologies, automated systems for manufacturing, trade and catering, startups in medicine, advertising and tourism were presented.

It should be noted that all these projects are the result of the long and hard work of participants of the Startup Initiatives program. During the program, leaders and team members, having worked the theoretical part under the guidance of teachers, created experimental models and tested them in practice. Analyzed the shortcomings and finalized the projects. They also participated in a workshop on preparing presentations with the support of leading experts from Uzbekistan and Russia, and became able to further strengthen their knowledge.

Startup Initiatives 2018

Little Big Media project, submitted by participants, is a service for presenting an effective platform for advertising in supermarkets. This is a gadget with a built-in screen (7-8 inches), on which advertising will be shown, with a battery for charging buyers’ smartphones. The gadget is attached to the handle of the shopping trolley. And Kontrakt.uz project is a program aimed at saving time and money of students studying on a contract basis. The software provides an opportunity to learn about the contractual debt, transfer and receive payments, it is integrated with electronic payment systems.

Students of Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service Abdulaziz Suyarov and Muborak Gadoyeva took part in the program.

Following the event, winners of the program were determined and awarded with diplomas and gifts from the organizers.
