The opening ceremony of the Presidential School in Namangan region was attended by regional khokimiyat’s leadership, state and public organizations, Uzbekistan Youth Union, Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, public, teachers and mentors, students.
Modern conditions and opportunities for teaching children on the basis of world educational standards, development of their intellectual abilities are created at the Presidential School, built at the expense of the State budget in the amount of 80 billion UZS. The classrooms of the education institution, where 144 students will study, are provided with 16 electronic boards, 36 computer sets and other modern information-communication facilities. Gym and swimming pool, library, book fund which has about 6 thousand books, will contribute to harmonious physical and mental development of students. In addition, 15 room hotel for foreign specialists has been built here.
Lessons in this school will be held in English according to curricula and programs developed on the basis of the experience of developed countries, including in conjunction with experts from the University of Cambridge to achieve an effective and high-quality organization of the educational process.
11 foreign qualified specialists were invited to the Presidential school by Teachaway (Canada) and TIC Recruitment (United Kingdom) on a competitive basis. 20 experienced and qualified domestic teachers are also involved in the educational process. Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Collins and other prestigious publishers have brought textbooks and training aids to apply the STEAM approach in education.
About 8 thousand schoolchildren of the region passed exams to study at the Presidential School in Namangan. The worthiest children among them are selected.
