On October 9, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the Islamic University of Malang of Indonesia signed an online MoU.
Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva, informed about the work being carried out at the university for the development of the Indonesian language and culture.
Rector of the Islamic University of Malang, Professor Masykuri Bakri, noted that bilateral cooperation has been steadily developing. He emphasized that further practical assistance will be provided in training specialists in the field of language and economics.
At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the universities, according to which cooperation in educational, scientific and other fields were identified.
In the 2020/2021 academic year, 11 students studying for a bachelor’s degree in Indonesian language and Indonesian economics at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies have started online courses for internships at the partner university. It is planned to send these students to Indonesia this academic year and continue their internship at the Islamic University of Malang.
Following the talks, the parties emphasized their determination to continue cooperation in education.
