17.09.2020 13:04

The mission of a group of doctors from Russia in Uzbekistan, aimed at combating coronavirus infection, has ended. During their month of stay in the country, 40 experts from Russia assisted in treatment of patients diagnosed with COVID-19, as well as conducted webinars to improve the qualifications of doctors. The group included resuscitation doctors, pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, cardiologists and endocrinologists.

Vladimir Kokuyev, resuscitator-anesthesiologist of the National Medical and Surgical Center named after N.I. Pirogov, noted that the Russian group of doctors gave their recommendations and consulted not only directly, but also via videoconference. Uzbekistan specialists have accumulated sufficient experience in preventing the spread of coronavirus and treating infected patients.

Experts noted that so far it is known about two versions of the SARS-CoV-2 and minor mutations. If a patient or a vaccinated volunteer has antibodies to any of the versions, they will act against other mutations as well.
