Reservoirs are included in International Convention List

Issues related to the development and consistent implementation of a wetland management plan, strict compliance with nature protection standards while using water sources in economic activities, and development of eco-tourism were discussed at the event.

 

During the videoconference, the State Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection was awarded an official certificate on inclusion of Tudakul and Quyimozor Reservoirs in Ramsar Convention List. In 2001, Uzbekistan became a member of Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance. Dengizkul and Aydar-Arnasay lake systems are also included in Ramsar Convention List.
