The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belgium Dilyor Khakimov met with Agfa’s managers.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views and studied ways of expanding cooperation of Uzbekistan with the company founded in 1894, which produces goods for creating, processing and reproducing images, in particular, used in medicine.
The parties highly appreciated the reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of public health, carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The course of the Decree of the President signed in December 2018 “On comprehensive measures of fundamentally improving the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, one of the priorities of which is to increase the efficiency, quality and accessibility of medical care, including through the introduction of high-tech diagnostic methods and treatment aroused particular interest of foreign partners.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, following the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop a joint action plan on expanding cooperation, the first stage of which will become the company’s visit to Uzbekistan in early February this year for determining specific needs and priorities of the country's health system.
