“Today’s meeting is dedicated to solving issues that have been postponed for 30 years. We are talking about reforming the civil service, improving efficiency and quality in management, which will undoubtedly make life easier for 35 million people and directly affect their mood”, the Head of the state said at the meeting.
It was noted that 118 thousand people work in this sphere. In recent years, civil servants have become close to people, and a system of work has been established according to the principles of “mahallabay” and “khonadonbay”.
Worthy conditions have been created for the effective work of employees. The share of employees under 40 in the public service has reached 61 percent (previously it was 37 percent).
“However, the civil service has not yet turned into a system that our people are truly satisfied with”, the President said.
“For example, last year the People’s Reception Office received 25,000 complaints about the incompetence and irresponsibility of employees of ministries and hokimiyats, 7,000 complaints related to their lack of communication culture. The vast majority of complaints are related to the activities of the ministries of health and public education, hokimiyats of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions.
