The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, together with the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO), has organized a business webinar on “Investment and Export Potential of the Chemical Industry of Uzbekistan”.
The business webinar was attended by 60 representatives from more than 25 Japanese companies, in particular Itochu, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Sumitomo, Marubeni, Sojits, Toyo Engineering, Mitsui, Hanwa, Yokogawa Electric and others.
First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Acting Chairman of JSC Uzkimyosanoat, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, presented the investment potential of the chemical industry of Uzbekistan with a proposal for specific investment projects for joint implementation with Japanese partners.
Director of LLC Uzkimyoimpex, Timur Muhamedjanov, briefed the participants of the webinar on the export potential of the chemical industry of Uzbekistan, as well as the possibilities for supplying more than 100 types of high-quality chemical products to the Japanese market at competitive prices.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold separate bilateral meetings with representatives of Japanese companies showing interest in the proposals of the Uzbek side for a substantive discussion of promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
