A meeting was held with the Chairman of the inter-parliamentary groups for cooperation of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the parliamentary friendship group “Italy – Central Asia” Simone Suriano, via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by members of the Senate and deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Italian Republic, representatives of relevant international organizations.
The role of parliaments in the political and socio-economic process between Uzbekistan and Italy, the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and issues of its development were discussed at the event.
