Uzbekistan, India enhance investment cooperation

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov met with the Minister of State of the Ministry of Shipping and Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers of India, Mansukh Mandaviya.

At the meeting, the Indian side expressed sincere gratitude for the humanitarian aid in the form of medical preparations provided to Uzbekistan as part of countering the consequences of the pandemic.
 
Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized that the historical closeness and strong friendship between people of the two countries, as well as confidential dialogue established at the level of the leaders of the two countries, brought bilateral relations to a completely new level.
 
The parties discussed the prospects for promoting Uzbekistan – India cooperation in pharmaceuticals and chemistry. The Minister of State noted that the interest of Indian companies in Uzbekistan is growing, which is due to the newly discovered investment opportunities in the country.
 
Views were exchanged on prospects for Uzbekistan – India cooperation in transport and logistics in order to further expand bilateral trade-economic ties.
