The Prime Minister of Pakistan arrives in Tashkent

TASHKENT, July 15. /“Dunyo” IA/. At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, today, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

It should be noted that this is the first official visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Uzbekistan.

On April 14 this year, the Summit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan took place, via videoconference.

The agenda of the summit included the current issues of bilateral multifaceted partnership, including the development of a constructive political dialogue, the expansion of practical interaction in trade, investment, transport, transit, cultural, humanitarian spheres, and exchanges between regions.

The visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister is expected to become another important step in bringing the multifaceted Uzbekistan – Pakistan partnership to a new level.

The main events of the visit will take place at Kuksaroy Residence.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan is also expected to attend Uzbekistan – Pakistan Business Forum and the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” in Tashkent, and visit the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara.
