President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Mirzaabad district in Syrdarya region and reviewed the work undertaken in areas affected by the emergency two weeks ago.
It is planned to build 9 housing blocks with 360 apartments in the district’s Navbahor mahalla. In addition, 616 cottages will be repaired in the Navbahor, Hakikat and Yangiovul mahallas. Builders from Syrdarya, Jizzakh, Ferghana, Namangan and Andijan regions are assigned for these works.
In an interview with responsible executives, the President noted that construction and repair works must be carried out efficiently, it is important to use locally produced modern and energy-saving materials.
The head of state met with residents of Mirzaabad, including mahalla activists and homeowners.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said necessary measures were being taken to restore housing and infrastructure, supply power, gas, drinking water, and overhaul roads.
Special attention was paid at the meeting not only to housing, but also to the creation of enterprises and jobs.
For this, within a short period of time, 323 large and small projects were elaborated worth in total 2 trillion 143 billion soums. Their implementation this year would help create about 10 thousand jobs in Mirzaabad, Akaltyn and Sardoba districts.
143 projects are designed for Mirzaabad district for 1 trillion 12 billion soums, with the purpose of creating more than 4.5 thousand jobs.
The schemes include those by LLC Guliston GoldYarn for the manufacture of knitwear, LLC Mirzaobod Limonchilik Cluster to fashion a modern greenhouse, and LLC Samoviy Bakht Kuvonchi for the production of vegetable oil.
The residents of Mirzaabad who suffered from the flood, like their counterparts in Sardoba, are awarded money certificates and bank cards.
The head of state laid the capsule in the foundation of the first houses due to be built in this area.
