TASHKENT, May 5. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, a roundtable discussion has been held with the heads of leading Saudi Arabian companies, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Khalid Al-Falih, as well as heads of ministries and agencies of the two countries.
Sardor Umurzakov noted the confident progress of Uzbekistan along the path of socio-economic reforms, its focus on increasing the transparency of the economy and continuing integration into the global economic space, invited European companies to take advantage of unique opportunities for doing business in Uzbekistan and expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support in resolving related issues.
Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia emphasized the high dynamics of development of economic partnership and the significant untapped potential for investment in Uzbekistan, in connection with which he called on Saudi Arabia companies to actively cooperate with Uzbekistan partners.
Saudi entrepreneurs have expressed their willingness to do business in Uzbekistan. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Al Rajhi International company on the implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
