In pursuance of instructions given by the Head of the state during the trip to Karakalpakstan in January 2017, activities worth nearly 80 billion UZS were completed here (currency rates of CB RU from 16.11.2018, 1$= 8271.27 soums). The airport building was reconstructed, the terminal was expanded and equipped in accordance with modern requirements.
The President noted that Nukus International Airport has an important place in the economic development of Karakalpakstan, expansion of business cooperation, and increase in tourist flow.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Muynak district.
This has been reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
More than 30 thousand people live in Muynak, the northernmost district of the country. Most of the working-age population is engaged in production, services, trade, agriculture and others.
In recent years, living standards of the population has increased significantly as a result of specific measures taken to improve the environmental situation in the district, provide the population with clean drinking water, create new jobs.
In accordance with the resolution of the Head of the country “On additional measures for economic development and employment of the population of Muynak district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 2017-2018” of February 28, 2017, the production of textile, pharmaceutical and electrical products, equipment for drip irrigation, plastic pipes have been organized, opportunities for development of fishing industry and tourism has been launched here.
In 2019, it is planned to implement 12 projects in the sphere of industry, 5 projects in agriculture, 14 projects in the field of services. Construction projects and repair of objects of the social sphere, development of engineering and communication networks are developed.
The President got acquainted with presentation of these projects, gave instructions on organization of production of demanded products in the domestic market, using potential and natural resources of Muynak. For example, there are many reeds in the district. It is possible to provide jobs for youth by organizing enterprises for its processing and production of building materials. Reservoirs are also advantages of the district, by developing fish farming here it will become possible to provide prosperity in many families.
It is also possible to engage in animal husbandry, especially breeding goats, which are well adapted to environment and unpretentious to feed. Production of goat wool products could provide women with jobs.
Residents of Muynak have suffered from the Aral disaster, says Shavkat Mirziyoyev. We must thank them for their resilience, patriotism, hard work and adequately serve in return.
The Head of the country instructed to build 20 apartment buildings in Muynak in the next two years, thus creating new residential area. The need for using modern achievements of urban development, formation of exemplary infrastructure was noted.
A dialogue with representatives of local population was held at the Ecology Museum. New great prospects for the district were discussed. The visit of the President of the country, his attention to comprehensive development of the district pleased and inspired Muynak people.

During the previous visits of the Head of the state to Karakalpakstan, a project was presented on organization of large textile enterprise in Kanlikul district with involvement of 10 million euros. Over the past period, 10 hectares land area was allocated for the company and construction activities started. The enterprise was built by Kanteks Invest LLC, which has great experience in production of light industry products. As a result, 23 million euros were invested in the project, modern textile factory was built on a vacant lot.
Now, installation of modern weaving equipment from Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and India is being carried out at the enterprise.
The enterprise with a project cost of 38.7 million USD is planned to be launched in the first quarter of next year. At the first stage, 11 thousand tons of high-quality yarn that meets international standards will be produced here per year. The next stage is fabric production, and the last stage is implementation of which is scheduled for 2021 – painting fabrics and sewing ready-made clothing.
The output of the company at full capacity will allow to export products for more than 25 million USD per year.
The Head of the state got acquainted with technological process at the enterprise, talked with its founders.
The company, which plans to provide jobs for about 650 local residents, is selecting staff, training courses are organized for employees, they are trained in other regions of the country.
The President noted that main purpose of organization of such enterprises is to create jobs, it is necessary to import new technologies into the country with the assistance of Uzbekistan’s embassies in foreign countries, launch more productions.

President of Uzbekistan pays constant attention to improvement of activities of preschool education institutions – the very first and most important link in upbringing harmoniously developed personalities.
More than 90 children are brought up in “Wunderkinds in Kungirad” kindergarten, organized in a citizens’ gathering of Kungirad village on the basis of public-private partnership.
The kindergarten began its activity on November 7 of the current year. Entrepreneur Dilnoza Abdullayeva in March received an empty building at zero cost and turned it into a modern preschool institution. Funds from Uzpromstroybank’s loan of 1.5 billion UZS ((currency rates of CB RU from 16.11.2018, 1$= 8271.27 soums)) and own funds in the amount of 500 million UZS were allocated to this project. Here, Russian and English language training has been established using interactive methods, sports sections are operating.
The Head of the state inspected the conditions created in the kindergarten and spoke with workers.
If we bring up our children healthy and smart from an early age, tomorrow fully trained children will come to school. Provision of high-quality education is also needed at school, so that erudite, high-spirit young boys and girls will enter the institutes. So the country will get good personnel. Therefore, preschool education should be at the center of our constant attention, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President was provided with information about activities being carried out and future projects for development of preschool education system in Karakalpakstan.
