On December 21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Van Fao, who is completing his diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting, views were exchanged on the priority directions of the progressive strengthening of Uzbekistan – Vietnam dialogue, the progress in implementation of previously reached agreements.
As it was emphasized, at present, the state of bilateral relations as a whole is characterized by a positive dynamic in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
An important factor linking the two countries is more than 3 thousand Vietnamese graduates of educational institutions of Uzbekistan, who today occupy senior positions in various structures and spheres of life in Vietnam.
The parties confirmed significant prospects for further development of Uzbekistan – Vietnam cooperation and interest in their implementation.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his active work on further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
Pham Van Fao sincerely thanked for favorable conditions created for successful fulfillment of his mission in Uzbekistan.
