On January 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan Ahmed bin Said bin Omar Al Katheeri, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
Accepting a copy of his credentials, the Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador and wished him successful work for strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Oman.
At the meeting, confidence was expressed that the opening of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the city of Masqat, in September last year, will give Uzbekistan – Oman dialogue a systemic and dynamic nature.
The sides exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas, as well as on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming joint events in 2019.
