The Seventh Session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation took place in Dushanbe on September 29 under the leadership of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
Prospects for bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, transport-communication, energy, agriculture, water management and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed at the meeting.
Protocol of the Seventh Session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was signed following the meeting.
Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Business Forum and Business Council Meeting took place. The sides discussed the current state and prospects for development of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations.
Investment and export-import agreements worth more than 2 million were signed at the meeting.
The opening ceremony of Artel Avesto Electronics Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Joint Venture was also held.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, in Dushanbe.
