On October 16, 2019, Head of the Mission of Uzbekistan to the European Union Dilyor Khakimov met with Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia of the European External Action Service Luke Devine.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current state and prospects for development of bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting. In particular, the parties discussed the development of the Agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, practical aspects of the upcoming visit of Uzbekistan delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov to Brussels.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on activities within the framework of the upcoming meetings of Uzbekistan – EU Subcommittee on Development and Uzbekistan – EU Cooperation Committee, to be held on October 23-24 in Tashkent.
The parties also agreed on a number of joint events in Brussels, including contacts plan for the future.
