President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited Cooperation LAB Intersectoral Cooperation Development Center in Bektemir district.
UzAuto Motors, SamAuto, JV MAN Auto – Uzbekistan, General Motors Powertrain Uzbekistan produce modern vehicles and components for them. However, many spare parts are imported from abroad. Measures are being taken to develop the production of new spare parts based on the analysis of the market conditions and demand of industrial enterprises.
For this purpose, on the initiative of JSC Uzavtosanoat, Cooperation LAB Intersectoral Cooperation Development Center has been established in Bektemir district.
The project worth million created jobs for 50 people. The main goal is to develop intersectoral cooperation in automotive industry, reduce imports and increase the level of localization on the principle of “from the idea to the counter”.
The permanent exhibition pavilion of the center will present samples of components, raw materials and consumables imported by Uzavtosanoat and other companies for automotive market of the country. Visitors can become acquainted with volumes and potential directions of production at domestic enterprises, get samples for localization on the territory of Uzbekistan. Extensive use of local raw materials and production resources will contribute to manufacturing competitive products and reduce import of components.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev became familiar with presentations on cooperation at the center. The importance of attracting qualified constructors and scientists, developing new equipment and delivering it on a custom basis was noted.
Cooperation LAB has a significant potential for expanding cooperation in mechanical engineering and electrical industry. The center will support entrepreneurs with engineering and technical solutions and in searching for markets.
Regional khokims were instructed to form groups of entrepreneurs and develop new project proposals for industrial cooperation together with the center.
The need for establishing cooperation with commercial banks to finance proposals developed in the center through project factory was noted.
