On June 22, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a videoconference with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic Andrea Bertozzi, completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current state and prospects for development of Uzbekistan – Italian relations were considered during the conversation. Views were exchanged on the schedule of the upcoming contacts at the highest level.
It was noted that the parties attach key importance to development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation. In this context, the importance of implementing the agreements reached within the framework of the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Group in Rome on May 6, 2019 was emphasized.
Proposals on enhancing interaction in cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres were also considered.
Following the conversation, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to development of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy.
The Ambassador thanked for supporting his activities as the head of the Italian diplomatic mission in Tashkent.
