/“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, the Central Election Commission (CEC) held a regular meeting to discuss the early presidential election, attended by the representatives of political parties, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the CEC, in the meeting, the Commission considered the issue of allowing political parties to participate in the early election of the President of Uzbekistan.
As prescribed by the Election Code, the CEC, after considering documents on participation in the early presidential election submitted by the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Adolat, the Ecological Party Uzbekistan, and the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Milliy Tiklanish, allowed these parties to participate in the upcoming early presidential elections on July 9, 2023 and adopted corresponding resolutions.
After the meeting, registration certificates and signature lists were handed over to the authorized representatives of political parties.
UzLiDeP approved the decision to nominate Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a presidential candidate. The Ecological Party nominates its leader Abdushukur Khamzayev, the People’s Democratic Party – Ulugbek Inoyatov, the Social Democratic Party “Adolat” – Robakhon Makhmudova.
The “Milliy Tiklanish” Party, together with UzLiDeP, decided to support the candidacy of Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the post of President of Uzbekistan.
