TASHKENT, January 20. /”Dunyo” IA/. Following the elections, the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan started its first meeting, informs the correspondent of “Dunyo” IA.
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalamov opened the meeting.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attends the first meeting of lower chamber of the parliament.
The Provisional Secretariat of the first meeting, the Counting Commission and the Provisional Group for Monitoring the Use of the Electronic Counting System were elected; participants approved the agenda. The Chairman of the CEC provided information on the results of the elections to the Legislative Chamber.
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a Council of Representatives of Political Parties was formed to elect the Speaker of the lower chamber. As proposed by the Council, the deputies elected Nurdinjon Ismailov as a Speaker of the Legislative Chamber through secret ballot.
