On December 9, the Chilanzar district of Tashkent saw the official opening ceremony of the new tourist object, presented as the installation of a caravan going on a journey and a symbolic well.
The installation reflects the Great Silk Road, most of which once passed through the territory of modern Uzbekistan. The composition consists of sculptures of merchants on camels, walking on the desert sand. The total area of the sculptures – 700 to 16 meters. The author of the composition – the sculptor Pavel Makarov, he was assisted by Sodik Namazov.
The event was attended by Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on tourism development A. Abduxakimov, Deputy Governor of Tashkent S. Abrarov, khokim of Chilanzar district D. Hidoyatov, foreign tourists, elders and activists of the district.
Similar works are underway by the Committee with khokims of other districts as well.
