MITC holds talks with Airbus

Uzbekistan’s Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadaster and Airbus company held trilateral talks, via videoconference.

 

Participants focused on the use of satellite images, monitoring agricultural and other land plots, as well as virtual satellite image receiving station and Center for Remote Sensing of Earth.
 
As it was noted, digital technologies are universal and can be widely applied in various spheres and sectors of the economy. In particular, they can significantly improve the efficiency of land use.
 
Airbus company’s projects were presented at the meeting, demonstrating the capabilities of the new Center for Remote Sensing of Earth and Virtual Station for Receiving Satellite Images. They reduce time and cost of obtaining and processing satellite images. Airbus representatives provided detailed information about training programs and organizational activities related to services that will be organized under this project.
 
Views were exchanged on training and advanced training of specialists in remote sensing of Earth.
