On April 1, 2019, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Abdualiyev met with the CEO of Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı Company Atalay Gümrah, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
At the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in the implementation of projects in the mining industry, in the fields of solar energy, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and building materials industry with the attraction of foreign direct investment and advanced technologies of the Turkish company were discussed.
During the visit of the Turkish delegation to Uzbekistan, meetings are also planned at the ministries for Investments and Foreign Trade, Economy and Industry, the State Committee on Geology and Mineral Resources, the Agency for Development of Public-Private Partnerships under the Ministry of Finance, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a visit to Samarkand region.
The Eczacıbaşı Group is a prominent Turkish industrial group with 42 companies, over 12,500 employees and a combined net turnover of TL 11.6 billion in 2017. Eczacıbaşı’s core sectors are building products, consumer products, and healthcare.
