On March 12, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Renée Jones-Bos.
The Ambassador arrived in Uzbekistan with representative delegation of 40 large companies of the Netherlands to attend the 14th Agro World 2019 exhibition, as well as to hold Uzbekistan – Netherlands agro business forums in Tashkent city and Namangan region.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, issues related to further strengthening Uzbekistan – Netherlands relations, including in Uzbekistan – EU format, were discussed at the meeting.
It was noted that growth of bilateral trade by more than 60 percent in 2018, active contacts between business circles of the two countries and prospects in investment sphere confirm the existence of a significant economic, industrial, technological, intellectual potential for progressive expansion of cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis.
Involvement of the Netherlands’ experience in Uzbekistan in creating modern tourism infrastructure, improving the quality of education, training personnel in the most popular specialties is of great interest.
Some problems of international and regional policy were also discussed at the meeting.
